PERFECT PLAY AQUATICS
LAKE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
Our Lake Construction Services
Just like athletic fields and golf courses, lakes age and need targeted care beyond simple water management. Our aquatic construction services focus on durable new construction and thoughtful renovations designed for longevity, not short-term fixes.
We provide:
Lake remodels that restore function and aesthetic value
New lake construction engineered for long-term stability
Dam-specific services, including repair, reinforcement, and safety upgrades
Shoreline rehabilitation to prevent erosion, improve access, and enhance habitat
We plan and build with future use, safety, and low-maintenance performance in mind, delivering lakes that remain healthy and welcoming places for family memories for decades.

Do you have a lake that has seen better days? Our skilled crew will assess your waterbody and recommend the right rehabilitation approach—whether targeted dredging to remove accumulated sediment and improve depth, or a full drainage and dig-out for complete restoration. We evaluate hydrology, sediment composition, shoreline stability, and aquatic vegetation to design a plan that restores water quality, enhances habitat, and reduces future maintenance.
What we provide:
Detailed site assessment and condition report
Dredging options tailored to sediment type and desired depth/profile
Full drainage and excavation when complete restoration is needed
Shoreline stabilization and erosion control
Sediment removal, hauling, and permitted disposal
Regrading, reseeding, and habitat enhancement after excavation
Coordination with permitting authorities and environmental compliance
We combine 30 years of land development and field construction experience with proven techniques and equipment to deliver durable, cost-effective lake restoration. Contact us to schedule an on-site evaluation and get a practical plan and estimate for returning your lake to healthy condition.

Have a property you’d love to see a lake on? Our team can bring your dreams to life.
We design and construct custom lakes that enhance property value, improve aesthetics, and support recreation or stormwater needs. With 30 years of land development and field-construction experience, we handle every phase:
Site evaluation and feasibility: soil, topography, hydrology, and permitting.
Design and engineering: shorelines, depths, circulation, and habitat features.
Construction and excavation: precise earthwork, liners, and grading.
Water management: inflow/outflow structures, overflow protections, and erosion control.
Landscaping and amenities: beaches, docks, trails, and native planting for long-term stability.
Ongoing maintenance planning: seasonal care, sediment management, and water quality monitoring.
Whether you want a natural-looking pond for wildlife, a recreational lake for swimming and boating, or a retention lake integrated into a development, we create solutions tailored to your goals.

Dams of all sizes require regular maintenance, repair, and periodic rehabilitation to remain safe and functional. At Perfect Play Fields and Links, we specialize in comprehensive dam services, including new construction, targeted repairs, and full removal and replacement.
Our services include:
New dam construction: site evaluation, design coordination, earthwork, structural components, inlet/outlet works, and final grading.
Maintenance programs: routine inspections, vegetation control, erosion protection, sediment management, and spillway upkeep to extend service life and reduce risk.
Repairs and rehabilitation: seepage control, embankment stabilization, concrete and masonry repair, seepage cutoffs, grouting, and outlet replacement or upgrades to meet current standards.
Removal and replacement: environmentally sensitive decommissioning, sediment handling, flow restoration, reconstruction of modern, code-compliant structures, and post-construction site restoration.
We integrate geotechnical assessment, hydraulic analysis, permitting support, and proven construction practices to deliver durable, compliant solutions. Our team manages projects from initial feasibility through final acceptance, focusing on safety, regulatory compliance, cost control, and long-term performance. Contact us today.

Eroding shorelines diminish both a lake’s functionality and its tranquility. Erosion is inevitable over time, but proactive rehabilitation and prevention can restore stability and protect the shoreline for the future.
Our shoreline rehabilitation and erosion-control services include:
Site assessment and erosion diagnosis to determine causes and risk areas.
Custom design solutions—bioengineering (native plantings, live staking), installed vegetation buffers, and natural fiber erosion-control blankets.
Structural options where needed—rock riprap, graded revetments, and engineered stone toe protection to dissipate wave energy.
Shoreline grading and stabilization to reestablish proper slope and drainage.
Maintenance plans and monitoring to ensure established measures remain effective through seasonal and storm impacts.
We balance ecological considerations, aesthetics, and functionality to restore the shoreline while preserving the lake’s natural character. Contact us to schedule a site evaluation and develop a tailored rehabilitation and prevention plan.
A Lake Re-Build Engineered with Innovative Solutions
“This 1.5-acre lake was a project that ended up spanning a six-acre footprint.
The Problem: This lake was built in the 1980s, and since then the area has seen extensive subdivision development. All of these subdivisions' runoff ended up going into this lake, which, over time, created so much soil run off that the once 10-foot-deep lake was near 2 inches deep in some areas. So, although a simple digout was easy, it was not a permanent solution.
The Solution: Reroute the creek that currently feeds runoff into the lake to go under it and build a catch basin big enough to handle torrential downpours. And that is exactly what we did, as shown in the pictures below. In some photos, you can see the pipe for the creek. This is visible when the lake water is low, before it runs underground.
This project underwent a final grow-in this fall, and the lake is nearly refilled. We cannot wait to share the “after” photos with you this spring. This is a small glimpse into the unique aquatic solutions we can bring to your residential property outside of golf and athletic fields. ” -Mike Munie, President & Founder
